| The Student Union
London School of Business Students Union (LSBSU) exists to support and represent its membership without discrimination; to maximise potential and provide a safe, understanding and co-operative environment for student activities, whilst recognising and celebrating the diversity of its membership."
By being a student at the LSB you are automatically a member of the LSBSU. The union's main function is to represent the students and to protect students' welfare. We are an open and friendly Union, with committed student welfare office (SWO). Come and talk to SWO if you encounter any problems.
Attendance
Students must attend the classes listed on their timetables. The College does not recommend students for examinations if attendance falls below 85% of that required. In the case of absence, the College must be informed of valid reasons. A medical certificate is required if there are more than three days’ consecutive absence owing to illness.
Teaching Hours
All full-time students are expected to attend daytime classes for a minimum of 15 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Course start and end dates are an indication of the academic calendar and are not expected to change. The College reserves the right to alter dates in order to facilitate or improve the provision of the course and its examinations. Any such changes will not affect the College regulations.
Language Studies Center
If English is not your first language, our Language Studies Centre offers a range of high quality programmes that may help support your learning while you study at LSB, whatever your language ability. These programmes teach English for academic purpose – the language, background knowledge and specialist terms you need to study your subject in the UK.A special feature of our programmes is that you can study courses tailored to the arts and social sciences – areas in which LSB is internationally renowned. We offer the Pre-seasonal Programme.
Punctuality
Being late for classes is not only detrimental to the academic progress of the latecomer, but is disruptive for the entire class. Students arriving late may be marked absent. Persistent offenders may be suspended from the College.
Conduct
Students are expected to conduct themselves responsibly on the College premises. Misconduct may result in suspension of the student from the College. In such cases no refund of fees will be given and any outstanding tuition fees will be payable in full.

Health Care
We recommend that all students take out private health insurance before coming to the UK. Treatment is free to all European Union citizens. EU citizens should register with a local National Health Service (NHS) doctor upon moving to the UK. Students living on-campus are covered for treatment at the local health centre. Some non-EU citizens may be charged for treatment of chronic conditions.
All students must pay for ophthalmic and dental care on the National Health Service. All EU citizens as well as non-EU citizens resident in UK are entitled to receive accident and emergency hospital care free of charge.
Personal Counseling
Completing an undergraduate degree programme can be stressful, so we provide counselling through your personal tutor and the staff at Student Services. If you wish to seek help outside, we can arrange for you to see a professional counselor. Contact Student Services for more details at: studentservices@lsbuk.co.uk
